Valentine’s Day Ball 2025: A Feast for a Cause, Brought to You by The Cookshak

At The Cookshak, we were proud to cater the second annual Valentine’s Day Ball. This event took place at the Big Bear Lake Elks Lodge.

It brought the community together to support our local veterans and first responders. Organized by the Marine Corps League, this exceptional event generated funds to offer scholarships, employment support, and essential resources for veterans in the Big Bear Valley. We were privileged to participate in such a significant and impactful cause.

A Flavorful Feast for a Worthy Cause

For this event, we served a tasty meal. It included our famous smoked brisket. We paired it with a baked potato, green beans with bacon, and a Caesar salad.

Guests had the option to choose from tender smoked brisket, baked yellowtail, or our famous mushroom Wellington—each dish crafted with care to offer a variety of flavors to suit every palate. We also included warm rolls to complete the meal, ensuring every plate was packed with comfort and flavor.

Community Support at Its Best

The Valentine’s Day Ball was truly a reflection of Big Bear’s strong sense of community. Thanks to the Marine Corps League, the Big Bear Rotary Club, and all the volunteers, this event was a success. The evening raised important funds for veterans and honored the hard work of our local first responders.

The night was full of energy. The lively music from karaoke master Manolo filled the air. The graceful ballroom dancers lit up the room.

As guests enjoyed the tasty meal we provided, they also celebrated the importance of helping veterans and first responders. These heroes are always there when we need them the most.
